Everyone has an opinion. Almost nobody can prove they were right.
A Rival Score is RIVAL's answer to that problem: a single number that represents how good you actually are at predicting outcomes — not how loud you are about it.
How it moves
Every prediction you lock in resolves one of two ways:
- You're right. Your Rival Score goes up. The earlier you called it relative to the crowd, the more it moves.
- You're wrong. Your Rival Score goes down.
There's no partial credit for being "directionally correct" and no bonus for confidence. Reality decides, and your score reflects the track record — not the take.
Why it can't be gamed
A few design choices keep Rival Score honest:
- You can't buy it. There's no premium tier that inflates your number.
- Timing matters. Calling something right after 92% of people already said the same thing is worth less than calling it six hours before anyone else.
- It's public. Your score, your accuracy by category, and your history are all visible on your profile — there's nowhere to hide a bad track record.
What it unlocks
Your Rival Score determines your rank in every league you're part of, your level (Rookie through Legend), and your position on global, category, and friend leaderboards. It's the closest thing to a credit score for being right.
The goal isn't to make predicting feel like trading. It's to make being right feel like something worth bragging about — because now you can prove it.
