Privacy Policy

RIVAL ("RIVAL," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Quantaracore Technologies LLP. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it's used and protected, both for this website and waitlist (rivalapp.in) and for the RIVAL mobile app once it launches on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

1. What we collect

Waitlist (this website). When you join the waitlist, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The prediction categories you say you're interested in (e.g. sports, crypto, entertainment)
• A referral code, if you joined using someone else's invite link

We do not ask for or collect payment details, government ID, or financial account information at the waitlist stage, because none of that is needed to reserve a username.

The RIVAL app (at launch). Once the app is live, account creation will require an email address or phone number, a username, and basic profile information. Using the app to make predictions will generate activity data — what you predicted, when, and the outcome — which is what your Rival Score and private league leaderboards are built from. The app has no payment, wallet, or withdrawal feature, so we do not collect banking details, card numbers, or crypto wallet addresses through RIVAL itself.

Automatically collected data.Like most websites and apps, we automatically collect limited technical data — IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage analytics — to keep the service secure and understand how it's used in aggregate.

2. How we use your information

• To hold your place on the waitlist and notify you when RIVAL launches
• To create and operate your account, track your Rival Score, and run private leagues and leaderboards
• To resolve predictions against real-world outcomes
• To send product updates, launch announcements, and — only if you opt in — marketing emails
• To detect abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service
• To improve the product based on aggregate, de-identified usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data to run any kind of paid advertising targeting outside of standard, opt-out-able analytics tools.

3. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the product — for example, our database and hosting providers, and email delivery services for waitlist and launch notifications. These providers are contractually limited to using your data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of RIVAL, our users, or the public.

4. Data retention

We keep waitlist data until the app launches and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Once the app is live, account and prediction history is retained for as long as your account is active, so your Rival Score and league history stay intact.

5. Your rights and choices

• You can ask us what data we hold about you, request a copy of it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@rivalapp.in.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
• If you're in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (such as the EU's GDPR or India's DPDP Act), those rights apply to you in full, and we will honor requests made under them.

6. Children's privacy

RIVAL is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, access controls, and secure hosting — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but because RIVAL has no payment, wallet, or financial data of any kind in the product, there is no financial account information for us to expose even in the event of a breach.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves, particularly around app launch. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify waitlist members and app users directly.
