Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RIVAL website (rivalapp.in), the RIVAL waitlist, and the RIVAL mobile app (together, the "Service"), operated by Quantaracore Technologies LLP("RIVAL," "we," "us"). By joining the waitlist or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. What RIVAL is

RIVAL is a free social prediction app. Users predict the outcome of real-world events — including sports, cryptocurrency price levels, entertainment, and world events — and predictions are scored for accuracy against verified, real-world outcomes. Accuracy is tracked as a "Rival Score" inside private leagues and leaderboards.

RIVAL has no real-money mechanic of any kind. There is no deposit, withdrawal, in-app currency standing in for cash, wagering, or payout of any kind, at any tier of the Service. RIVAL is not a gambling, betting, or trading platform, and nothing in the Service should be interpreted as financial advice or a financial product.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age required by your jurisdiction to enter into agreements like these Terms, you must have a parent or guardian agree to these Terms on your behalf.

3. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist reserves your chosen username and registers you to be notified when the app launches. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, does not require any payment, and does not create any other obligation between you and RIVAL. Usernames are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and may be subject to change if they violate Section 5 below.

4. Accounts

When the app launches, you'll need an account to use it. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised, at support@rivalapp.in.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or impersonate another person
• Attempt to manipulate prediction outcomes, resolution sources, or leaderboard rankings through fraud, collusion, or exploiting a bug
• Create multiple accounts to evade bans, manipulate referral rewards, or distort leaderboards
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Service without our written permission
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law
• Use a username, image, or profile content that is offensive, infringing, or impersonates another person or entity

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion, with or without notice.

6. How predictions resolve

Predictions are resolved against defined, verifiable sources specific to each category — for example, official match results for sports, exchange closing prices for crypto, and confirmed results from primary sources for entertainment and world events. We make reasonable efforts to ensure resolution sources are accurate and applied consistently, but RIVAL is the final arbiter of how a given prediction resolves in the event of a genuine dispute about source data.

7. No financial stakes, no liability for financial loss

Because RIVAL has no real-money or virtual-currency wagering mechanic, using the Service cannot result in a financial loss through the Service itself. RIVAL is not responsible for any side agreements, wagers, or bets you may make informally with other users outside the Service — we don't facilitate, endorse, or have visibility into those arrangements, and they are entirely outside the scope of these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

The RIVAL name, logo, app, and website content are owned by Quantaracore Technologies LLP. You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as a username or profile content), but grant us a license to display it within the Service as needed to operate the product.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, particularly during the pre-launch waitlist phase and early access periods.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quantaracore Technologies LLP and RIVAL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service involves no financial transactions, this limitation is primarily relevant to claims around data, availability, or account access rather than financial loss.

11. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves, particularly around app launch. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify users directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
